About Us

Our mission is to provide support services to library staff and board; sponsor programs designed to improve the social, cultural, and intellectual life of the community, including cooperation with other groups as appropriate; promote the library in all phases of community life; and assist in providing funds to meet special library needs.

We conduct our mission by helping the library provide an extra level of services not possible within the normal operating budget. Proceeds from our efforts have expanded the community’s awareness of library programs and services. The Friends of the L.D. Fargo Public Library is a volunteer organization founded in 1987. The Board of Directors shall consist of the officers, the immediate Past-President, and members-at-large and committee chairs appointed by the President.
