Watch a story unfold as you walk through the park!
What is a StoryWalk®?
StoryWalks® are a way for children and adults to enjoy reading and the outdoors at the same time. Pages from a children's book are attached to signposts, which are installed along an outdoor path. As you walk down the path, you are directed to the next page in the story.
StoryWalks® combine the benefits of physical activity, time outdoors, literacy, and family time!
The Lake Mills StoryWalk® is installed through a wooded trail at Wallace Park. The trail begins and ends near the playground at the park. The walk is 0.38 Miles (2,050 ft.) and is stroller friendly. Follow the marked trail and read pages from a children's book as you walk and enjoy nature with your family.
For directions to Wallace Park, scroll to the bottom of the webpage or stop by the library for a brochure.
