Watch a story unfold as you walk through the park!
What's a StoryWalk®?
StoryWalks® are a way for children and adults to enjoy reading and the outdoors at the same time. Pages from a children's book are attached to signposts, which are installed along an outdoor path. As you walk down the path, you are directed to the next page in the story.
StoryWalks® combine the benefits of physical activity, time outdoors, literacy, and family time!
The Lake Mills StoryWalk® is installed through a wooded trail at Wallace Park. The trail begins and ends near the playground at the park. Follow the marked trail and read pages from a children's book as you walk and enjoy nature with your family.
For directions to Wallace Park, scroll to the bottom of the webpage or stop by the library for a brochure.
The story will be changed out periodically. Check here for updates!
